Thanks. I re-installed a pristine ProTA application, and I turn off ProTA when I finish, and relaunch when I want to use it again. So far, I haven't had any crashes since I started this. My crashes were occurring during use, as well as at start up. I transfered the program to a computer running High Sierra, and got the message, "This program is not optimized for High Sierra. Tell the program author." or something like that. Ha!

I'll try your method next time I get a crash. Starting over at the registration window screws up my preferences.
Thanks.
