Understand the market: the more you can do this, the less problems you will have.
The market seems to look down, because overpriced relative to corporate earnings. But how much it has been overpriced, the market is not sure. So it head down, then adjust back up a little. I guess in the incoming earnings reporting period the market will flunctuate with each perceived earnings adjustment.
And in a down market, the stocks are not priced as previously, they will be priced below we think they should be.
The stocks you mentioned are trying to determine the market direction, they are priced so as most investor think are proper relative to future market direction( That is,the investors in these stocks still think the market is like to go down in incoming days).
Daytrading: the least risky strategy is to long strong stocks when they are in dip in hot market, and short weak stocks when they are at top of their rebound when the market has a down direction. It is more difficult to do because recently the market direction it self is difficult to determine. However, if you notice my trading you will see my trading has been following market direction for these days.
This thread is very good, but not in real time. if any one can create a real time daytrading thread, I would like to join. We can talk about market direction and specific stocks in real time.
