I've only been there twice for a total of about 4 weeks, and I haven't spent time studying the state so its not like I'm some expert on it; didn't strike me as a gun culture kindof state.

There are a lot of military bases on the island and members of the military are more likely to own their own private firearms than a random selection of people but still that's something like 50k or so (I think a little less than that) out of over 1.4 million, and its not like they all own guns, so it couldn't swing things that much.
