My summer neighbor has a little Yorkie who also hates the car. One day last summer we thought it would be a good idea to go look at some new houses and take the dogs along, thinking that if they were together they'd enjoy the ride. How wrong we were. They fed off each other, each one hammering the fear into the other and at the end our three minute drive, my friend I and were both exhausted. The dogs were fine once they were out of the car and enjoyed looking at the new construction but the drive back ... well, second verse same as the first.
