Good grief. What we know for sure is that Trump tweets the good economic news so he gets credit since the media makes it headline news. When bad numbers come out, no tweets and Trump doesn't get blamed. Today, we learn manufacturing took a massive dive. Is Trump tweeting it? No. Therefore, he doesn't get the blame. Is the media associating the decline to Trump? No, so he gets none of the blame. If you're an uninformed republican or someone who gets their news from social media you're more likely to give Trump credit because of his tweets.
