I thought I would add my two cents: There is a thoroughgoing report on Argosy for clients of Kevin Smith (1-800-426-9494), published in May '96. He also discusses the 15-million oz. potential of Argosy's targets. If it reaches this, he expects the stock could reach $30-40. Smith and Mark Skousen, a newsletter writer, recently visited the sites and reiterated their buy recommendation at up to C$3. In the report there is also a map of geologically related epithermal systems, making a ring around Central Europe, from Albania, Northern Greece, thru Bulgaria, Ukraine, the Carpathians. This led me to become interested also in Nebex Resources (NBX.A, NBX.T), which appears to be the largest player in Albania at the moment. Their investor package and news releases suggest a lot of potential, though their most recent drilling release was a bit disappointing. Anyone watching this one? It turns out I know the daughter of the former head geologist on the Mirdita site, from the days when the Albanian gov't was mining it. We are hoping to invite him to the US to talk about Albanian geology and mining. If there is any interest, I'll post any tidbits I might glean from this source. --Marc |
