B,

What concerns me is the result of the current federal court hearing.

The judge had a little demo a while back in which a court employee successfully uninstalled the browser without damaging Win 95. He may have only succeeded in removing the icon from the desktop, but the episode shows the judge is skeptical of Microsoft's claims.

Then recently Microsoft attornies started saying they were sorry if they had been to arrogant or offended anyone. To use common language, they are kissing up to the judge. I think they fear he will say their argument that they just can't remove the browser, no matter how they try, is bunk. Further, I think they fear this federal judge might impose the $1 million a day contempt fine.
