Well, Facebook should know how much money was spent on the ads and it wasn't much. There could have been other sources, of course, the minimal nature of it really suggests it was immaterial unless something just caught on virally. Even then, someone would know that.

The key point is that it was totally immaterial in comparison to the ad campaigns being run by the candidates (and those ads didn't work, either).

If someone has evidence I'm open minded but I just haven't seen or heard of any.
