Yes, the current proceedings in the US do pose a potential problem.
Regardless, of how it goes though, MSFT will continue to thrive and people will buy their products. Regarless of all the mess going on, I think that 1998/1999 stand to be two of the best years in MSFT history.

I think we all need to keep our eyes on the ball, MSFT in my opinion could really care less about Win 95. It is a moot point. This battle is really about Win 98. The judge may not know or understand this but MSFT and the forces like ORACLE, SUNW, NSCP and IBM arrayed against them are well aware of what is going on. With Win98, the browser is no longer an add on. Internet Explorer is basically integrated into the Windows environment - it becomes the new "look and feel" of windows so to speak.

Caving into DOJ on Win95 will cause problems for Win98. I look at how well MO is holding up in what can only be considered the most hostile environment that any company can operate in short of what the asbestos industry went through. $1M a day quite frankly is chump change to MSFT.
