I have been trading since 1973 and doing it for a living since 1980.Daytrading for two years. I feel that I have more than two years experiance in daytrading since my system is really geared for short term. The problem has always been speed and comm. With the internet not only do you have speed(I am comparing to the days of wire clerks :-) )but comm have come crashing down.As an example at my firm I was paying aprox $50/1000 last year then $25/1000 then$15/1000.

99%+ of my trades are less than 1 hour.I never have anything at end of day.In fact I close up shop at 3:00.
