It is crazy to try to credit obama with this economic progress, and frankly, suggests you may be a tad more biased than I’ve tended to credit you with.

I'm neither crediting Obama or dissing Trump. I just recognize a trend line when I see one. Trend lines run into the next presidency. Aircraft carriers don't turn on a dime, economies even less quickly. Presidents inherit economies. You don't attribute somesomething to the next guy at least until you see a change that coincides with and can be attributed to something the next guy does or sufficient time has passed. It takes either ignorance or bias to do that.

But it takes a lot more economic progress to drive the level of unemployment BELOW 4.0 than it does to get it down TO 4.0 (which is considered full employment).

Could be his influence gave it extra juice, could be it would have gotten where it was headed anyway. Hard to say right now.

Wonder how Trump will react going forward given the natural resistance at this level. I noticed how he got suddenly quiet earlier this year when the stock market trendline jerked.
