Discord is a chat app I use on a Windows 7 PC.

The app stopped working. If I click the icon, nothing happens.

Do I deleted the app, downloaded it again from the Discord web sight, and am trying to install it again.

When it tries to install I get an error message that says

--

A fatal Javascript error has occurred

Cannot find module 'discord_desktop_core' at Function module blah blah blah (lots of stuff about inability to find modules).

Any suggestions for how to install this Discord software? I'm surprised a clean download can't install properly.

I have rebooted a few times, done System Restore once, downloaded the installation software again, and the error still occurs, and the software doesn't install successfully.
