Sbfm, re: desperate management.............................................

+.... All the signs of a desperate management - throw money at a wall, hype the promise, write off the deal. After all, who could possibly have known the amount of money needed to unseat INTC?

+ ....Looks like a lot of financial engineering is in the works.

>>>>>>>>>>

It seems to me **not** an act out of desperation but a required strategic adjustment due to unforeseen escalating attacks on QCOM’s business model instigated by a ruthless adversary employing its money, power, and political influence to suppress it suppliers and competitors to satisfy its own greed and thirst for dominance.

Try to visualize the landscape had not AAPL instigated its attack on QCOM during 2016.

$13 royalty on a $700+ iPhone.... abusive??? (only $8 before the attacks)

36 cents / month (~one penny / day) out of $60 / month total cost of iPhone ownership for cellular network connectivity ( the bountiful benefits of the internet and all that follows) ... abusive??? Give me a break.

Seems to me your anger / frustration is unfortunately misplaced 180 degrees.
