The following represents an accounting of two of the most significant increases in shares owned by institutional investors, as of end-of-year filings with the SEC. FMR is Fidelity. The Capital Research group of funds has a highly regarded research capability.

As 12/31/2017, FMR owned 5,498,567 shares of MACOM, an increase of 4,267,240 shares from their previous HR-13F filing.

The Capital Research group owned 3,986,862 shares, an increase of 1,284,862 shares from their previous HR-13F filing.

In a March 12, 2018 SC-13G/A filing, FMR reported that they now own 9,660,787 shares – or 14.99% of MSTI shares outstanding – an increase of 4,164,220 shares above the end-of-year holdings.
