Additional G.O.D. info and a GT tidbit from UGR site:

Gathering Of Developers CEO Mike Wilson has announced the names of g.o.d.'s founding partners/ equity owners. They are 3D Realms, Epic MegaGames, PopTop Software, Ritual Entertainment and Terminal Reality (far from a shabby bunch, eh?).
The Board of Directors includes former Ion Storm CEO Mike Wilson, Apogee/ 3D Realms CEO Scott Miller, Epic MegaGames' "Imperial Advisor" Jay Wilbur, former GT Interactive marketing VP Allan Blum, Pop Top Software President Phil Steinmeyer, Ritual Entertainment CEO Harry Miller, Strategic Marketing Partners President Bill Mitschrich and Terminal Reality VP Brett Combs. g.o.d. was founded on the noble precept of enabling financial independence for developers by creating brand loyalty and recognition. g.o.d. Devopers will enjoy greater control over their products and healthier advances and royalty percentages.

...Following the first major g.o.d. announcement comes their first potential stumbling block. g.o.d. developers still have to uphold their end of existing contracts and agreements. For 3D Realms, this means that GT interactive not only has the publishing and distribution rights to all future Duke Nukem and Prey related releases, but has the right to match bids on Max Payne as well. As Max Payne has been announced as 3D Realms' first g.o.d. release, this complicates plans and signals the beginning of a possible bidding war.

Cheers
Bill
