IMHO, only a very coordinated decision on the part of the rest of the world would do that. Look at what is happening to ZTE. A very major Chinese tech co is being forced out of business for dealing with Iran and NK, all by the USA. Other companies will pay attention. If China were to respond by say shutting Boeing immediately out of China until the USA reverses their stance on ZTE, that might have an effect.

The only other thing that might happen, but it can't happen very rapidly, is to replace the $ as the world's reserve currency. If the Euros & China & Russia agreed on a basket of currency to replace the $, and enforced that immediately, then they could in fact thumb their nose at Trump (and as a side issue, the USA debt situation would immediately become a catastrophe). But I doubt you will see anything like this happen quickly, which is what would need to happen from Iran's perspective.

I expect instead that Iran will within a few weeks, withdraw from the deal once it becomes clear the Euro's can't stand up to Trump, and then I expect Iran to go full throttle for a nuke. We will get to see if the 12-month "breakout" period is in fact anywhere near correct.
