To make money, as I said in my previous post. Cohen is exploiting his relationship with Trump to make money. It's really as simple as that. Is it illegal? I don't think so, but it sure is unethical. But then again, it is what lobbyists and politicians do all the time. I find it distasteful, just as you do. We should find a way to stamp this kind of thing out, but the laws on the books don't punish people for doing this. As to Trump, he's not involved. He's just a famous guy in power and the people connected to him are trying to make hay out of their association with him.
