So your theory is Donnie was too dumb to know his personal lawyer was a conman? I think Donnie's dumb but not that dumb. He had a Criminal lawyer because Donnie is a criminal himself.

A January 12, 2017 pool report from Trump Tower shows Trump lawyer Michael Cohen and AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson entering 8 minutes apart. AT&T would go on to hire Cohen "to provide insights into understanding the new administration."
11:29 AM - May 9, 2018

BTW per CNBC, ATT seems to have paid Cohen $600K, not the $200K reported. And they've talked to Mueller, just as Novartis did regarding their $1.2M in payments. Companies like this will cooperate and replace their CEO's when they get involved in a scandal, rather than lie to protect a criminal President. Novartis already has a new CEO. ATT probably will this year.

" AT&T said late Wednesday it was contacted by special counsel Robert Mueller's office about Michael Cohen, the personal lawyer for President Donald Trump. A spokeswoman for the company said that AT&T provided all information requested by Mueller's office in November and December of last year." .... CNBC
