One assumption made by the shorts is quite unusual. They assume that, in the case of Presstek, the share price will not reflect anticipated earnings, earnings that Presstek's myriad patents and award winning technology and proliferating alliances will make inevitable and inevitably increasing. They are now betting on Lutts changing his recommendation in the face of the unprecedentedly clear handwriting on the wall and of common sense, and on Fuji being of minor importance, and Heidelberg being moot, and Alcoa never coming to fruition, and the SEC settlement being fatal, and Asian characters not being printable on Presstek plates, and Imation being....and... and... (I forget, are they still assuming that Digitek will drive the PEARLgold plates out of the market?)
