Terrence, WoW, my portfolio has been visited by angels<g> Indeed, at times it appears to require divine intervention. Nevertheless, the HM did nicely today, I was glad to have bought it lately. I agree in principle with your scenarios with the dollar/yen (and by implication the euro?). Yet besides a lower value for the dollar against the yen, none of these calamities has beset us and the Japanese economy seems far worse off than ours despite our debtor status. A delayed effect, no doubt, like the fall of the Roman Empire; it takes time to bring an empire down just as it does to build one. Roebear
