Evan,

I thought I'd hold a contest to see who could guess the VVUS
FY 97 earnings, but the logistics were flawed, so I deleted
the message within the 15 minutes of posting it. If people
here are interestd in doing it, I'm willing to keep score,
and calculate the mean, median, and standard deviation of
the estimates for FY 97 FULLY DILUTED PER-SHARE EARNINGS,
as announced 1/15/98 by VVUS.

Post your estimates here BEFORE 3:30 PM ET on 1/15/98,
by REPLYing to THIS post, to make it easier for me to
find them.

I'll post a summary and announce the winner(s) before
market open the next day. Winner(s) have the Prize of
being able to sign their future posts for all of 1998
with the byline "Ranked # 1 of X in estimating VVUS 1997
EPS."
