MCP stands for multi chip package. So MS predicts the average number of memory chips in a smartphone will increase. This will result in more revenue on average per smart phone, even when incorporating per chip price declines.

This is not at all what they are saying. Multichip packages combine NAND and DRAM into a single module, and are cited as being lower margin products. MCP's are typically used in lower end phones with less memory capacity. This is not a way of increasing the number of NAND chips in smartphones.
