easy peasy ..... don't buy too much. ;-)

you should be able to buy fresh locally grown produce
year round i would imagine living that far south.

when i lived in vancouver i found that during the summer
it was almost cheaper to buy locally grown than maintaining
your own garden because of the abundance of produce available.
however, growing your own you can be sure it is organic.

where i live now, i need a green house to grow tomatoes
and cucumbers and peppers. lettuce and kale and carrots
onions and radishes i plant outside. they have all sprouted now.

broccoli and cabbage i buy. spuds are off the menu but are
easily grown here. good thing i enjoy gardening, eh?
