All,

After listening to the conference call, I am no longer long on AMD. This is what I heard:

* Yield problems still not solved.
* Q1 to be their most challenging quarter, due to transition to 0.25u.
* Capital expenditures in the next few quarters will deplete all cash reserves.
* Do not know if more than 1.5 million K6 chips will be produced in Q1.
* Do not know if volume and yields will ever be high enough to make a profit.

Combine this with Intel's flawless execution and their ability to put further pricing pressure on AMD, and I am starting to question AMD's ability to survive. Their entire non-K6 business is only operating at break-even. We have all been hearing that AMD has "bet-the-farm" on the K6. It now occurs to me that they really have. Without a smooth transition to 0.25u and great market acceptance of the K6 3D, this company could be history.

Pravin.
