As per Recarte's post on May 9th, 28,420,435 shares were shorted as of April, and I reached out to a source this morning who is a professional trader and told me that the real time number is now 30.1 million shares. There are 10 trading sessions between now and the end of the month, during which time the BLA will be filed and anticipation will build over the June 3rd ASCO oral presentation and the Investor Event scheduled to occur later that day. Thus, the math is easy, i.e., even covering at a rate of 3 million shares per day, at the risk of engaging in hyperbole, the phrase "sitting on a powder keg" comes to mind. MAF
