Ref: Muslim "no go" areas in the city of London UK

It took a while to work through my list of more important things to do.... but I got to it eventually.

Wednesday 16 May 2018 I got off the London Tube at Whitechapel and took a 30 minute wander about Tower Hamlets. It was a delightful strole around one to the nice parts of London without a doubt.

The fact is, ... I knew you were full of chit about Tower Hamlets because (until two years ago) my elder sister was a senior lecturer at London Metropolitan University, and she laughed when I told her what you said... That Tower Hamlets is a Muslim "no go" area. If anything it is a "working class" are that is now "well to do". It is up market, and the people who live there know how to make a buck or two. Never felt safer in a city, and the people there are great. There is an amazing street market as soon as you get off the tube... and there is lots more. Tourist visitation spot and recommended ! You can see Canary walk etc about a mile off looking west.

Start your tour from East London Central Synagogue if you like... it's only a few blocks away and I have highlighted the position on the map for you.
