Let's review some news flow over past 24 hours:

  • ZTE ban ordered reversed; Wilbur Ross, DOD, IC push back; reports surfaced about Chinese investment somehow tied up with Trump Org development in Indonesia; Pres notes US components are primarily used by ZTE and a ban hurts those companies (Samsung steps up to replace snapdragon).
  • Anon source reports US trade team has some internal disagreements; Peter Navarro is reportedly off the current Chinese/US trade team.
  • Anon source says NAFTA negotiations proceeding well; Canada spokesperson denies and says the opposite is true.
  • US self-imposed deadline for NAFTA renegotiations come and go without any deal.
  • Anon source reports China agrees to a 200 bill reduction in trade deficit; MSNBC later reports leak was from US trade team.
  • Chinese deny (stridently) the report.
  • Anon source reports NXP Q deal moving towards approval.
Who here can posit a reasonable investing position based upon this crap?
