Here on the central Oregon coast there is a huge problem with homelessness, rising rents, and the huge number of vacation homes that can make up to half of certain neighborhoods turning them into ghost towns at times.

I am not sure it is practical, but for some enterprising individual there is the possibility of turning vacation homes into shared vacation homes. If two or more vacation home owners agree to share a single home, one or more homes become available to renters...
