If AMAT is lowering revenue guidance and saying NAND spending especially is going down, you would think that stocks like Micron would go up right? The decreased spending that AMAT is signaling is a clear indication of of industry players are being rational right? I am a man of very average intelligence but even i can figure this out very easily. Why is Micron down a over a dollar at the open and WDC down as well? Geez, wake up already people!!!!

By that logic.........

When AMAT says NAND equipment purchases are increasing, it's good for the NAND makers because demand for NAND is so strong that they've gotta buy more equipment to meet the strong demand.

When AMAT says NAND equipment purchases are decreasing it's good for the NAND makers because they aren't going to produce too much in the future, and won't over produce which would lower supply, it's good, they're being rationale.

When AMAT says NAND equipment purchases are about flat, it's great for the NAND makers because they are at perfect equilibrium and won't make too much NAND and also won't make too litte NAND, they will make the amount of NAND that is juuuuuuust right.

When AMAT doesn't discuss NAND at all it's good for the NAND makers because there was no bad news.
