"What revolting development this is!" If you remember who used to say that then you are too old.

Apart from the human tragedy, two accidents in a month will have an effect on the stock. Air Methods the company will go on and should continue to prosper. But the perception of increased risk of another crash will dampen enthusiasm for the stock.

I believe that the fiancial impacts of these events will not significantly change the company's business. They may have to pay somewhat higher insurance rates. New air ambulance programs may be delayed some. But over time these tragic events will fade into the natural course, inevitable over time in this line of work.

I understand the sentiments expressed by Stocky and I think those who buy the stock will have another reason to pause. So we may not see as exuberant a response in the market to what will continue to be positive news.

Air Methods will report increasing earnings and growth in manufacturing. The emotional response to these accidents will not extinguish the air medical transport business and Air Methods does have and will retain a positive reputation.

Both accidents were likely caused by pilot error. There will be no fault found in procedures, maintenance or safety precautions taken by the company.

I am a shareholder of Air Methods and proud of it. Somebody posted that this company doesn't sell tobacco. I have to say that I take pride in my investment in an enterprise that daily saves lives in heroic fashion.

Of course I would like to make money on that investment. Under $3 the stock is very undervalued-crashes or no crashes. We will see financial performance that will drive the stock price higher-bottom line.

My sympathies lie also with those who died and all who knew them.

Elliot
