Kemble, The San Francisco Examiner ran the Dll ad today for Dimension and laptops. So the price cuts were coordinated with the ad campaign. In the same newspaper Packard Bell was advertising a product targeted at the DELL dimension with NEC monitors, etc., direct. I am going to check into this. I think that CPQ has some serious channel problems comming up this quarter and next. The configurability of their systems is very limited compared to DELL at their website. s---- continues to prattle on about their BTO and CTO successes and their low inventories but he has no evidence as usual. Their top channel manager left after taking over from Snyder who also left. That job must be political hell. Looking forward to a very interesting tomorrow... Jim kelley
