Maybe you should ask that question of Obama and the DNC? In 2015 he was informed by the CIA that the Russians were meddling in the election process, but he ignored it.

Likewise, the DNC was informed that Russian hackers were targeting the Democrats IT networks, but the DNC did nothing to protect themselves. Republicans were also targeted and informed about it, but they put up a defense.
