I see BKM found your solution.

While I was looking, I discovered that Win 10
now has the driver for my HP Laserjet 6P. I installed and just printed the first
page on that printer since MSFT forced me to upgrade to Win 10.

Given that I have an extra toner cartridge for the 6P, it's unlikely that I'll ever
have to buy another. The last one has been in the printer for more than 10

years and is still printing.

Thanks for posting your problem. :-)

Anyone who lost support for older devices with Win 10 may also benefit
from checking again (in Win 10). To my knowledge, HP still doesn't officially
support the 6P.
