This feature article continues suggesting that Dynamic HTML is the future of the Web...also stating that Microsoft's DHTML is not the same as Netscape's DHTML, and continues "...The better DHTML tools do more than just let you type in your code. Elemental Software's Drumbeat, Allaire's HomeSite, SoftQuad's HoTMetaL PRO, Pictorius's iNet Solo, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Microsoft FrontPage 98, and ExperTelligence's WebberActive all offer more than support for DHTML...Microsoft FrontPage 98 and HomeSite [both PC EDITOR'S CHOICE] support DHTML only for Microsoft's browser..."*

This appears to be significant in that it is our opinion that, of the 22 tools reviewed, the Web authoring category will be dominated by FrontPage, NetObjects, DreamWeaver and HoTMetaL Pro (0-18 months and ultimately FrontPage and HoTMetaL Pro (ref/LDP/XML/DHTML/WebFiler et al database enabled/Netscape-IE compatibility...) (9 months - ...)...
