If my math is correct that is a $600 difference and that's just the introductory price. There is room to drop... I suppose that if some little company wanted to buy 1k of them they could save $600k. I don't know about the TFT screen... BTW...That little GXi is capable of running a 100 Mhz bus speed...although I think the first Compaq models will be at 83Mhz. Haven't seen any benchmarks but that should help system performance. Personally, $1999 is still way too much to get me to buy another notebook. They will have to drop... Jim
