That's true, Josh. It is wise to check the PC manufacturers website (Dell, WD, etc.) to see if the particular machine has been tested for compatibility with the latest major update before actually implementing the update. Machines manufactured earlier than 2013 may not have been.

It's always wise to backup the system before updating. Drivers for peripherals as well including the device your backing up to.

Then hold your breath and pray.
