finance.yahoo.com The cost advantage of sliceable photonics is in OPEX, and it has to demonstrated in field trials and real world scenarios to determine the value which has to take into account the variables of dissagregtion and SDN adoption etc. Infinera has to have all the pieces in place -They are getting good traction in metro even without the XTS 3600, and the end to end of open ice across other line systems is where infn’s architectural advantage lies- it is hard to connect those dots even with the infn slides and they certainly were not able to make the case in the CC in layman’s terms for understanding-
