Dennis,

Sorry I missed your messages. I just returned from a business trip to Mexico and was out of touch. The Medtronics/Lifecell connection has to do with an implantable heart valve, and a Medtronics officer sits on Lifecell's board of directors.

The best source of information on Lifecell is a man named George Wiggington (I think I have the spelling correct) who has posted often on the LIFC board on SI and on the Motley Fool. If you will go to that board and email your questions to George, he can fill you in. Or you may wish to peruse the boards in both locations to get this information.

The cloud of a lawsuit hangs over this company right now. Unfortunately MIT was one of the plantiffs which in my opinion is rather like being sued by God. The timing of the lawsuit was obviously aimed at spoiling Lifecell's secondary offering, and it did damage it considerably. This is a reason for Lifecell's counterclaim.

I do own stock. Unfortunately I bought it at a considerably higher price, so I'm hoping to get my money back and maybe see some upside during 1998.

Good luck,
John May
