They certainly have the right to appeal their sentence..

BUT, I believe they have to put up the amount of the assigned damages and fine in some form of superdeas bond in order to have that right to appeal.. And it would have to be for the full amount, as well as interest.

That COULD be up to $6 BILLION for this case (as visions of Doctor Evil spring into my head.. ;0)

Sinovel has already been convicted, both in the US and in Europe, so they'd be better served coming to a settlement that is acceptable to all parties. It's likely the Feds would not stand in the way, having already gotten their conviction..
I see the Trump administration applying the ZTE model.. management change.. and assurance that US (AMSC software) is used in all of the 8,000 turbines Sinovel used stolen software on.
