It couldn't possibly be, for example, that they believe the best anti-poverty plan is a job, so, when you get the black unemployment rate to its lowest point in recorded history, they couldn't possibly believe that is the best thing you can do for poor blacks, right?
You see, Koan, what you don't understand is that most people don't want to be given money. They want to earn it. Which gives us all self respect and creates an environment where people aren't killing each other because they appreciate the fact they have a job to go to, work to do, contributions to make to society, and lives to live.
This is foreign to you perhaps. But you should not assume you understand all this. Among the most important attributes for intelligence to exist is an open mind. |
