It actually is. There was no information transfer, and in fact there was no information to be had. My guess is it was an amateurish mistake on the son's part to have accepted the meeting. These are not government people and can make a mistake like that. It isn't a crisis, and it isn't reflective of criminal intent.

I can envision the son saying, "Dad, here's what happened, how do I handle it?" and DJT saying, "Here's a letter:" and going with it. I don't think that would be a crime, and the truth came out.

This is not in any way indicative that information passed which shouldn't have. We know from multiple sources there was no conveyance of political information.

If this is what you're hanging your hat on it is really, really weak.
