Why all the focus on bandwidth on this thread? Too many ex-Amatians?

I don't see E-Bill / E-Pay as a bandwidth intensive application. Is it?

What seems more relevant to me is client (PC) penetration. Only 40% of households own PCs and that penetration rate is slowing! What matters to Checkfree is penetration. The good news is that "ultra-thin client technology" is moving at a rapid rate.

The question is: will low cost thin clients alone drive massive additional penetration? I don't think so. I'm looking for bundling of thin clients as "loss leaders" with new services which can generate revenue on a per transaction basis. Banking is obviously one of those new services, but there are many others. The beauty of network computers isn't so much that they drive the cost of clients down below $200, but that they open the door to metered services as a new revenue stream.

I'm sure Checkfree is on board to all this, I'd just like to encourage more relevant discussion on this board since I am far from technically expert in this area.
