I stopped because that is where the list stops, but II gave the citation. Taxing social security is regressive. They are the poor. It is better to tax people who can afford to pay it. He did not save it. It did not need saving. He set it up as a slush fund for his tax cuts to the rich. You sound like i-node these days. << Why did you stop at '81? Is that cuz he saved it in '83? "The tax on social security started as part of Reagan's assault on SS in 1984" I don't have a problem with that tax. It all goes back to SSTF. In fact, I want it bumped up to 99% for those with outside incomes greater than $100K. It's means testing.
