I know gun nuts didn't flock into the military after 9/11 because the numbers tell us they didn't. There was a small spike before 9/11 because of the first recession under Bush followed by another spike after Bush crashed the economy with another recession 2007. Less than 1% of the US fought in Iraq and Afghanistan and only a tiny blip after 9/11. Gun nuts watched the wars they supported on TV.
