Another possibility is that Diwan has sequestered the money he has taken out of the company and that HE could be NNVC's financier.
That's a possibility I hadn't considered. I suspect he'd rather Boniuk finance NNVC.

I honestly think Diwan (and Seymour) thought this company was going to be so successful that all of the shareholders were going to be generously rewarded, even with him (i.e., TheraCour) taking a good chunk of the proceeds. So in their eyes, he was being quite generous with the shareholders. But the way the deal was structured (and the devil is in the details) he always got his share first, no matter what happened. As it turns out, in order for the company to pay back the shareholders, we would need a blockbuster drug that we can produce relatively cheaply. Anything short of that, and TheraCour gets all of the spoils. Struggling through with a 15% royalty on revenues will kill the company.

And that's where we are today, somewhere short of their expectations. And Diwan looks like a greedy, controlling, inept business manager with a talent for making investors' money disappear into his pocket.

Albeit, he is technically competent. But he's yet to prove his business competence or his sense of fairness to investors. Good luck raising money.
