So, whatever replaces it will depend on the power Trump has at the time of final collapse.

And on having some idea of a replacement system. If there's no replacement system design, no big idea, no grand plan, the void will be filled by single payer. People of all stripes already adapted to some kind of coverage will demand something and that's something.

I would expect less government if he has the political power, no mandate, but guaranteed issue with wider cost variability and some subsidy.

So that's your sense of the big idea? And that's conceptually different from Obamacare, how?

If that's all that your guys have in mind, Obamacare can be so tweaked. Surely Trump has the power to change the name from Obamacare. Why put people through the turmoil if that's the extent of the grand plan?
