Yo_Jan.........................Good Morning-hope you are having a good day today. I am an authorized Digital Equipment dealer and systems integrator (Network-LANs) and I can tell you what I saw in 3d technology was NOT subjective in any way, it was a look at the new standards being developed for the coming convergence of PC/TV/VIDEO, and I believe Intel will control this market as well as the DRAM market (thru its affiliation with RAMBUS as well as CHIPS). Time will eventually reveal which way these markets will go,and all we can do is guess the companies that will be the market makers/leaders and hope we guess right! Speaking of guessing I have certainly not guessed right so far in the video chip market-or at least I have not guess the right PRICES at which to go long-my positions in S3 and Chips were both at $18.25. So, Jan , you can see I have losses in both positions--which shows you just how much my OPINIONS and CONJECTORS are worth! NOTHING! But I am like you in that I too am an "eternal optimist" (which drives my wife crazy)!
I have over the years done really well in the markets, but I must tell you 1996 was a bad year for me, due primarily to S3 and Chips! I hope you have done better than me last year!
