Just came back from a lunch meeting where the speaker was Jonah Goldberg. I read several articles by him over the years, as well as the Liberal Fascism, years ago, when it first came out. Today, the guy absolutely surprised me - very smart, alert, thoughtful. Excellent. He did a 20-30 min speech, and then another 30 min or so of Q&A. Managed to pack in a ton of material, all delivered eloquently, with humor. Nice.

Much of the talk was about his new book. Planning to read it.
