The sanctions are the key to everything. ...Trump got China, SK, Japan and Russia to cooperate to the fullest...I find it difficult to believe that Trump would start relaxing the sanctions right now.

People keep saying that.

But Trump does not control the sanctions. The primary feeder to NK is China and China has already backed off Trump's tough sanctions and is now suggesting that the UN should drop them. If China doesn't engage, your "key to everything" is, while not toothless, falls short of tough and may be insufficient.

So, while it may be a good idea in theory, it's not a basket suitable for storing all of one's eggs. Blind trust is, er, blinding.
