The claim itself is a strawman, Sam.

In fact, I know you like Snopes, but I often see some of your posts and in checking find that the claim Snopes is checking is made-up or contains partial truth, i.e. strawmen. I don't know the structure of Snopes but I'm wondering if the writers/checkers have an agenda of some kind. Something similar to the bots on Facebook and elsewhere that toss out inflammatory statements with no basis.

The internet is a minefield of that and getting worse all the time, imo.
